1999 Annual Report

Message from the Mayor

December 31st marked the end of the 20th Century and the close of another successful year in the City of Grande Prairie.

A construction total of over $76 million was achieved with 735 housing units coming on stream to help ease the low vacancy rates of the past few years.

This City continues to serve the Region well. It is the Hub of the North: for trade, transportation, health, emergency services, education, and culture. Grande Prairie is a thoroughly modern City that benefits from its diversified economy and energetic citizens.

We enter the new millennium proud of our past and confident of an exciting and vibrant future
