CITY OF GRANDE PRAIRIE

A By-law of the City of Grande Prairie to
Authorize the Imposition of Interest Charges
on Overdue General Accounts.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A., 1980 Section 152, a Council by by-law may authorize the imposition of interest charges not exceeding one and one-half percent (1 1/2%) per month on general accounts payable to the Municipality that remain unpaid after 30 days from the date of the mailing of the account, and
WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the City of Grande Prairie deems it desirable and expedient to pass a by-law for the enactment of Section 152 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A., 1980 and amendments thereto
NOW THEREFORE THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRANDE PRAIRIE, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, DULY ASSEMBLED, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Grande Prairie impose an interest charge of one and one-half percent (1 1/2%) per month on general accounts payable to the City of Grande Prairie that remain unpaid after 30 days from the date of the mailing of the account.
2. By-law C-747 is hereby repealed.
3. This by-law shall come into effect on the date of final passing thereof.
