Special Ballots
Special Ballots (mail-in) are provided for voters who are unable to attend either Advance Vote— on October 5, 6, 12 & 13— or a Voting Station on Election Day—October 15— because of:
- physical incapacity
- working as an Election Officer, or
- absence from the City of Grande Prairie during the Advance Vote days or Election Day.
If you know you will be unable to vote at either of the Advance Vote or a Voting Station on Election Day, you can apply for a Special Ballot Package:
- Download the Special Ballot Application Form.
- Submit your completed information form to the Returning Officer by mail, fax or in person.
Or, if you wish, you may contact the Returning Officer by phone or e-mail to provide us with your information.

Note that a Special Ballot Application can be made for yourself only.
The Returning Officer will provide a Special Ballot (mail-in) Package to eligible voters.
After receiving the Special Ballot Package, please follow instructions in the package to complete and return your Special Ballot to City Hall.
In order to be counted, Special Ballots must be received at the Election Office (City Hall) by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, October 15, 2007.
