Offers caring, responsible support to families and individuals experiencing disruptions to their normal family routine and who are residents of Grande Prairie.
The Home Support program works to:
- Prevent family breakdown, and the institutionalization of the aged, ill and disabled.
- Enable people to influence their own well-being by providing them with information, education and affordable home support services that build self-esteem, social and life skills and support them in making healthy life choices.

STAFF:
Who would come into your home to do the work?
- Qualified and caring Home Support Workers
FEES:
What is the cost?
- Services are offered at a subsidized rate; are based on a sliding-fee-scale and client net income.
CLIENT:
Who is considered a client?
- Persons or families who require assistance with maintaining their homes so that they can continue or begin to live with self-determination and independence.
SERVICE:
Home Support workers will assist you with:
- Basic light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation,
- Childcare
- Companioning
- Developing home management skills
- Driving to appointments
THESE SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE WHEN:
- Health issues make it difficult to manage your home, (ie: chronic illness, disease, pre & post operation, pre & post natal, injury, physical or mental disabilities, etc)
- Ageing interferes with ability to operate household cleaning equipment.
- Emotional stress impacts coping and ability to function.
