Aircrash Rescue

In 1997 the Grande Prairie Fire Department assumed the responsibility for Airport firefighting in our municipality.  We trained to NFPA 1003 level - Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting.  Two specialty crash trucks are used along with our conventional pumps.  Some of our equipment is housed at a firehall at the airport.  That firehall is currently not manned, as per Federal regulation.
