Tempest House and Post Office
The City of Grande Prairie's Culture & Heritage Department is responsible for the Grande Prairie Museum, and Heritage Village, the Heritage Discovery Centre at Centre 2000, the Forbes Homestead Provincial Historic Site, and Municipal Heritage Sites programs.

Our goal is also to encourage the growth and development of cultural experiences and to nurture and develop outstanding cultural opportunities for the people of Grande Prairie.

The South Peace Regional Archives, which operates as an independent society, is located at the Grande Prairie Museum. The Archives provide historical documentation, photos, maps and films relating to the personal, political, social and economic life of the Peace Region.

The Grande Prairie Museum and Heritage Village are situated in beautiful Muskoseepi Park, along the banks of Bear Creek.  Heritage Discovery Centre is located at Centre 2000, Grande Prairie's trade and tourism centre, on the Highway 43 bypass.
