Heritage Discovery Centre

The Heritage Discovery Centre is located in the lower level of Centre 2000.  Our family-friendly hands-on experience officially opened in 2004.  The Centre features:

  • Permanent exhibits showcasing the natural and social history of the Peace Country from prehistoric times to the present
  • Interactive displays for the whole family
  • Piper, the life-size animated pachyrhinosaur
  • Rotary Learning Centre
  • Kin Gallery for traveling exhibits
  • Community events
  • School tours and educational programs

Visit Us

The Heritage Discovery Centre is located in the lower level of Centre 2000, the home of Grande Prairie's Visitor Information Centre. Centre 2000 is situated on the Highway 43 Bypass at 11330 - 106 Street in Grande Prairie.  Our hours are:

  • Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30
  • Saturday 10 to 4:30
  • Sunday 12 noon to 4:30
