Workplace Learning

The Joint Workplace Learning Committee is a partnership between the City of
Grande Prairie , Aquatera Utilities, CUPE Local 787 and IAFF Local 2770. Both the City and Aquatera are committed to literacy, essential skills and lifelong learning…in essence, continuous learning for all! The committee exists with the following mission:


“to provide opportunities for The City of
Grande Prairie and Aquatera Utilities employees and their families to access lifelong learning programs”



To date, a literacy workshop has been held, the committee has formed, developed goals and action plans and is currently in the process of conducting an organizational needs assessment.

In addition, a series of workshops entitled “Being the Best Role Model You Can Be” have been offered to staff in partnership with the Grande Prairie Council for Lifelong Learning.
