Weeding & Fertilizing

  • On sportsfields, parks and boulevards, broad leaf weeds are sprayed once per year in early spring or fall, weather permitting, while weeds are vigorously growing.
  • We fertilize:
    • Boulevards and parks: once per year.
    • Sportfields: twice per year
    • Fields which require extra care: three times per year.
  • The fertilizer used is purchased in bulk and is high in Nitrogen (42-0-0) and is used in most areas in the city, with the exception being the sportfields that are overseeded where a mix of (11-52-0) is used to promote root growth.
