Q: I live on a corner lot, what restrictions are there for fences?

YES. If you are planning on building a fence 3ft (.91m) or higher in the front and side yard (where the streets intersect) you will require approval from a Development Officer. In order to process your request please provide the following information:

  • Location of proposed fencing marked on a Real Property Report or Site Plan
  • Elevation drawings showing height of fence and style (wood, chainlink, etc)

Besides restrictions on fencing there are additional requirements that you should be aware of if you live on a corner lot. For more information on corner lots click here or contact development permitting.
