1.    Property and Tax Enquiry Service

The property and tax enquiry service entails two services and are available through muniportal.ca

  • The first service is Basic Property Information. This is a free service which will allow you to find out information such as building age, size, parcel size, land use, tax classification, subdivision and the property assessment on any property located within the City of Grande Prairie.
  •  The second service allows you to find out property tax information on any property within the City of Grande Prairie for a $15 charge. This service will provide to you the total outstanding taxes, and the tax levy and local improvements. When using this service you will also receive the information that is included in the free service. This is not a legal document. For a legal property tax document please see the Property Tax Certificate Service available on muniportal.ca.

2.    Property Tax Certificate Service

The property tax certificate service, also available through muniportal.ca, allows you to request a tax certificate from the City of Grande Prairie. A tax certificate is a formal document that accompanies most real estate transactions. The City of Grande Prairie's tax certificate will state the year's tax levy, local improvement amount, penalties, year to date payments, adjustments, arrears and the balance outstanding.  Once the process for a tax certificate is completed by the Tax Department, a hard copy legal document including the City seal is sent to the requestor.
