Grande Prairie, Alberta is located just east of the dog leg in the BC/Alberta border: 55 degrees North latitude, 119 degrees West longitude, or 484 Km (300 miles) west northwest of Edmonton. This "Northern Regional Center" community has a population of about 43,000 (with a market population near 250,000), and is a great place to raise a family.
