Facility Information
The facility will be operated as a City of Grande Prairie facility with full public access to the local residents and visitors as well as an operating partnership with the City's Community Knowledge Partners. It is the fourth (of 5) component to be built as part of the Community Knowledge Campus on the south side of Grande Prairie. It connects the already existing facilities - Coca-Cola Centre, St. Joseph High School and the Gymniks Gymnastic Club, with plans of a pubic high school to be added in the future. All components share a connected heating and cooling infrastructure and underground access.
The site will provide a mix of structured and casual sport and wellness opportunities and is designed to emphasize student sport and wellness as well as ensuring multi-generational access to the facilities. The design provides barrier free access for all levels of disability with access to all concourse areas.
It will meet the sport and wellness needs for the City and be home to athletic teams, athletic program staff and community organizations.
