Your INVITATION:
This is Your INVITATION to express your interest in participating in a collaborative effort to help Grande Prairie thrive in the 'Information Age' - the CyberCity Initiative.
A preliminary discussion paper identifies both the importance and urgency of addressing the challenge of positioning our city in the 'Information Age'. What is required is the balanced development of:
- infrastructure and other support system requirements,
- major (interactive) information systems that will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of each of Grande Prairie's major institutions and sectors AND provide a local focus for citizen network users - municipal, college, schools, hospital, industrial, business/commerce, entertainment, banking, shopping, etc., and
- public capacity/ability to enjoy and exploit the emerging information resource.
The City of Grande Prairie is prepared to coordinate the effort required to further conceptualize, plan for, and lay the foundations for the CyberCity Initiative. The purpose of this request for an Expression of Interest is simply to find the partners that are interested in participating in and supporting the project.

Expressions of Interest:
At this initial stage, all submissions are welcome; whether or not they fit the above categories. Please let us know the nature of your interest and how you would like to become involved as the project unfolds. An open information meeting will be held on Thursday, January 25th, 1996.
