 Centre

 Centre  - Now Operating

Major Tenants: The two ice surfaces at the Centre are a year round facility hosting:

Grande Prairie Minor Hockey: 750 players will play an estimated 50% of their games at the Twin Ice. That includes 49 teams, aged 5 – 18 years of age from end of August to first week of April – over 300 games of hockey! Practices will be held weekday evenings. That's up to 8 teams and their family – per evening.

Grande Prairie Figure Skating: Throughout the year over 700 individual skaters make up the Grande Prairie Figure Skating Club. These athletes come from not only the city, but northern Alberta and BC as well. Practices, and meets all under one roof

Junior B's: Grande Prairie Wheelers host aprox. 17 home games, with 50 – 400 attending per game. More so in playoff time of course

Senior Hockey: Grande Prairie A's. --14 Home Games --

Speed Skating:  Two nights a week short track speed skaters hone their craft on the south ice.

Storm Playoff Hockey: when their host facility (Crystal Centre) is unavailable.

Sledge Hockey: We think it's a first in Canada, the south pad is designed with wheelchair sports in mind. Sledge Hockey is a growing sport that enables wheelchair athletes to enjoy hockey as well. Designs include players boxes that enable athletes to slide right out onto the ice, and see-through rink boards so wheel chair athletes can view the action while seated.

Public Skating:  Tuesday/Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm and Sunday afternoons starting at 2:25 pm.

Shinny Hockey: Available several days a week.  Call for details.

Old Timer Leagues / Commercial

Individual bookings, public events, misc. events: Hockey tournaments will rein here. 2 ice surfaces means even larger events may be held under one roof.
