Family Violence
Family violence is a form of abuse in an intimate relationship or a relationship of dependency. It can include physical, psychological, sexual, spiritual and financial abuse. This abuse is used to gain power and often follows a cyclic pattern. Family violence has devastating effects for members of the entire family, especially children, who are at a greater risk for a life involving abuse when they grow up.
