The City of Grande Prairie is looking for an individual to perform the duties as a Building Safety Code Officer. This position is a permanent full time position. The challenge will be to perform site inspections and required plan reviews of construction carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Safety Codes Act, relevant Codes and Bylaws.

Only those individuals who have achieved a minimum Certification as a Building Safety Codes Officer Group 2 will be considered. Additional requirements include a valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license.                                  
Other qualifications will include strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written skills, broad working knowledge of computers and the ability to work in a team environment. Previous municipal experience will be considered an asset.
