If so, then you might be the ideal candidate for the Special Events Programmer at Muskoseepi Park. Assist with the planning, marketing, implementation and evaluation of summer events such as Canada Day, Heritage Day and Sunday’s in the Park. Position will also include collaboration with community groups and local businesses to create new partnerships and sponsorships.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and/or experience working with community partners, hosting public events and are pursuing a post secondary education in recreation, marketing or related field. Well developed interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to use diplomacy and mature judgment will make you a great addition to our team. Knowledge of sound equipment and the Grande Prairie Music scene would be an asset.
Successful applicants will posses or be able to obtain:
- Computer proficiency in MS Office to create posters, documents and perform data entry
- Valid Driver’s License
- A current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Intervention Record Check provided by Child & Family Services
- A Criminal Record Check
Term of employment: May 3 -Aug. 20, 2010
Rate of Pay: $17.33/hour as per CUPE Collective Agreement
