40 Developmental AssetsKids - September

The Developmental Assets framework consists of 40 opportunities, skills, relationships and values that promote young people’s healthy development.

The Search Institute® has been proving through research that the more assets a young person has, the less likely they will be to engage in high risk behaviours as they get older.

Positive youth development is an approach to intentionally create opportunities, supports and services for youth so that young people develop the skills they need to thrive and become successful adults.

Crime Prevention is offering a number of FREE training opportunities, facilitated by Lions Quest Canada, to build community capacity for Positive Youth Development.
