Posted Date: 9/14/2017

Work on the Pete Eagar Fire Hall Project continues on September 16 with the replacement of surrounding pavement.

Emergency services are not impacted by construction activities at this location. The fire hall remains fully operational for the duration of the project.

Parking at the fire hall will be impacted. To avoid the construction congestion, residents may contact the Fire Prevention Branch via phone at 780-538-0393 or e-mail at fire_prevention@cityofgp.com.

The public may apply for fire pit permits on the website: eservices.cityofgp.com.

Rehab

Construction work for this phase of the project has been awarded to Wapiti Gravel Suppliers and is estimated to be completed in the end of October, weather permitting.

Construction consists of replacing the asphalt surrounding the building. Existing asphalt is to be removed and replaced with a thicker pavement structure. This work is to be completed in stages to ensure the fire hall remains functional.
