About the Project:

This is an annual program for all bridges including pedestrian throughout the City.

General scope of work is: Bridge in Winter

  • Concrete deck crack sealing
  • Wooden deck repairs
  • Abutment repairs
  • Bridge cleaning
  • Minor miscellaneous repairs 

Scope will vary for each site based on need.

The 2018 budget for the Annual Bridge Repair Program is $250,000.00; funding is supplied by Capital Tax.

Bridges in Muskoseepi Park:

About the Project:

Grande Prairie's City Council has approved a funding strategy to undertake the design and construction of a new pedestrian bridge across the Bear Creek to link Maskwôtêh Park to the new Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.

Budget:

The approved budget for the new pedestrian bridge is $700,000.00 and is supplied by ACP - Metropolitan Funding and Capital Tax.

Timeline:

Design - 2018

Construction - Tentatively scheduled for 2018/19 winter
