Road Rehabilitation Begins Behind Prairie Mall and VLA Montrose Neighborhood
Posted Date: 8/10/2018
The City’s 2018 Road Rehabilitation Program begins in two more locations on Monday, August 13, weather permitting.

Work will be taking place in the VLA Montrose and Northgate areas with construction scheduled through the month of September.

Work will be done on:
  • 99 Street from 112 Avenue to 121 Avenue/100 Street
  • 116 Avenue from 100 Street to CN Rail crossing
The posted speed limit will be reduced to 30km/h throughout construction zones. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes whenever possible.

Construction consists of milling the existing road surface and placing a new pavement surface, spot replacing concrete curb and sidewalks, minor repairs to the storm sewer infrastructure, re-establishing road line markings/crosswalk lines, and landscaping.

Work sites will be active over night between 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. to minimize traffic disruptions. Periodic delays and limited through traffic should be expected during night operations.

Daytime operations will take place between 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. during which time access to businesses and traffic flow will be maintained.
