The FASD Network of Northwest Alberta is hosting a free event on Friday, September 7 to recognize International Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day.
The event takes place at the Ernie Radbourne Pavillion in Muskoseepi Park from 8:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. and is free and open for everyone in the community to attend.
A pancake breakfast, Proclamation and displays of support services for individuals and caregivers experiencing FASD are planned as part of the event.
International FASD Awareness Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness and offering support around the dangers of drinking during pregnancy and recognizing individuals and families who live with FASD.
The event is made possible through partnerships with Accredited Supported Living Services, Grande Prairie Family Education Society, Alberta Health Services, Canadian Mental Health Association, Rotary International, The City of Grande Prairie and Northwest Peace FASD Network.
