Fireworks, free activities and family fun will be at Muskoseepi Park on Monday, December 31 as the City of Grande Prairie brings in the New Year.
The all-ages event takes place at Muskoseepi Park and the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion starting at 6:30 p.m. and ends with a fireworks show over the reservoir at 10 p.m. Sleigh rides and hot chocolate are available for $2.
“This is an ideal event for families to come out and spend some quality time taking in a spectacular fireworks show,” says Mayor Bill Given.
“Don’t forget to bundle up and join us as we take the opportunity to bring in the New Year as a community.”

Parking in Muskoseepi Park will be limited for the duration of the event, including setup and take down times.
Transit special service hours will be in effect on Monday, December 31 (New Years Eve). The transit service will begin at 6:00 a.m. and will run until 2:15 a.m. when the last buses leave Towne Centre Mall. After 6:45 p.m. all buses will be free to ride.
Please note fireworks are subject to cancellation in the event of 40 km/hour wind or -25 Celsius temperatures.
