Daily Snow Clearing Updates - December 17 to 21, 2018

December 21, 2018

  • Today, City crews are out sanding and salting the City's road network and picking up snow piles around the City.
  • Over the next week, our crews will sand, salt, and plow roads as needed, but daily updates are paused. We'll be back with daily updates in the new year!

December 20, 2018

  • Sanding and salting continues across the City's priority 1 and 2 routes.
  • There were some light flurries earlier today, so if you notice areas in need of sand or salt, please report it online using SeeClickFix:

  • Crews continue to monitor for ice and implement ice control on the City's road network.
  • Crews are also repairing some potholes around the City during the evenings.

  • Did you know the City's snow clearing crews maintain 486 km of road, 92 km of paved trail, and 50 km of sidewalk?

  • Earlier this month, Council chose to extend the driveway windrow clearing pilot program into the 2019 year. 
  • This means all driveway windrows will be cleared during residential snow clearing. If you have a green pylon, there is no need to place it at the end of your driveway.
