2nd Annual A Path Forward: Building Resiliency in Youth

This engaging and inspiring talk will provide a unique lens into the importance of focusing on resiliency in how we raise up our children and youth. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, service provider, coach, teacher…no matter what your role is with children and youth, we all have a responsibility in fostering their ability to be resilient.

In over 25 years of working with youth and families, presenter Monique Gray Smith has come to learn there are some key ways to support their resilience, and our own resilience. She calls them the Four Blankets of Resilience: Strong sense of self; family; community; culture, language and connection to the land. This talk will focus on the Four Blankets and how to weave them into everyday experiences to build upon the gifts of resilience within children and youth.

This presentation is Free and Childcare is provided, however you must Register at Eventbrite
