The Welcoming and Inclusive Communities initiative focuses on creating strong communities, where diversity adds to the social and economic vibrancy of the community and the quality of life enjoyed by all residents.

The video showcases agency members of the Welcoming and Inclusive Communities Committee working collaboratively to support newcomers in Grande Prairie. Agencies include ACFA Régionale de Grande Prairie, Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers and Council for Life Long Learning.
The video was funded and produced by the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA).
This project is the result of a community mapping initiative lead by community partners in the City of Grande Prairie. Community Mapping is an effective tool for enhancing relationships between human service partners, engaging people in talking about their community, making evidenced based decisions, and collaborative planning.
