The Kid's Klub is an "active" after school licensed program and offers something for every child Grades K- 6.

Every afternoon the children will have the opportunity to:

  • Be part of children directed play (games picked by the children)
  • Be part of teacher instructed play (games picked by the staff)
  • Do arts and crafts
  • Have an afternoon snack
  • Play board games and read books if he or she doesn't feel like doing the other physical activity planned for the day

Our staff

Our trained staff provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow to their full potential through quality programming, with a focus on each individual child's needs and interests. All of our staff must have the following qualifications:

  • Child Development Certification as an Assistant, Worker or Supervisor
  • First-Aid in Child Care and Adult, Child, Infant CPR
  • Criminal Record Check including vulnerable sector
  • Intervention Record Check
  • At least 1 year experience working in a childcare setting

Hours of operation

  • The Kid's Klub runs on regular school days from 2:50 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. 
  • The Kid's Klub does not operate on Statutory Holidays, full PD days or non-school days.  


The Kid's Klub Fees

2017-2018 Registrations open May 1st 2017

  • Fees will be withdrawn from your bank account automatically on the 1st of every month from September until May 2018. There will be no withdrawal in the month of June.
  • Full time rate: $270.00 / month (Monday – Friday 2:50pm-5:30pm)
  • Daily rate: $52.00 per weekday / month
  • You must register in the same weekly schedule throughout the month
  • Absences will not result in any reduction of fees unless the absence is for an extended period of time for medical reasons and a doctor's note is provided. To retain a spot at The Kid’s Klub during a prolonged absence, the full fee due for the program will need to be paid.
  • If you need to withdraw from The Kid’s Klub program there will be a $100.00 withdrawal fee unless one full month notice is provided in writing to The Dave Barr Community Centre office. To withdraw your child from our program, please fill out the withdrawal / change form.

Claim Expenses

The Kid's Klub After School Program is eligible for Child Care Subsidy administered by Government of Alberta Human Services. Parents must apply to Alberta Human Services directly.


 How to register?

• Fill out an enrolment form and return to the Dave Barr Community Centre office at 9535 Prairie Road. You can also scan your enrolment form and email it to and provide a VOID cheque.
•  Provide us with a deposit of $270.00 (or one month’s worth of fees for part-time children). This can be paid via credit card over the phone, or in person via credit card, cheque, debit card or cash at the Dave Barr Community Centre.


Come Prepared!

  • We do not offer transportation from other schools to our program. However, in the past, some school-bus drivers have dropped the children in front of the school and the children have walked to the gym (which is close the front doors).
  • Please let our staff know if your child won't be at our program by calling or leaving a voicemail at 780-830-7076/ or text: 780-831-8134.
  • Your child must wear appropriate clothing and shoes to fully participate in all games and activities held both in the gym and outdoors.
  • Be prompt in picking up your child.
  • PLEASE inform the leaders if someone other than yourself will be picking up your child. Children will not be able to go home with someone who is not in the authorized pick up form. Your child's safety is our #1 priority.
  • If your child is ill, please do not bring him/her to the Kid’s Klub. Please consider the health of our leaders and the other children registered.

The Kid's Klub runs out of Maude Clifford Community Gym,  Maude Clifford Public School 9206 Lakeland Drive, Grande Prairie, AB T8X 0J4.
