Community Growth Director - Koji MiyajiKoji M

Biography 

Koji Miyaji assumed the role of Community Growth Director in January of 2015.

Mr. Miyaji comes to the City of Grande Prairie with almost 30 years of municipal governance experience. The majority of his career has been with the City of Calgary (23 years). He has also worked with the municipalities of Leduc, and in the Bow Valley (Canmore/ Banff/ Parks Canada) in senior leadership roles.

Over his diverse career, he has gained senior management experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, transportation management, public transit, Parks and Recreation, bylaw services, solid waste management, water services, environmental management, economic development and intergovernmental affairs. Koji is a people oriented leader who believes in supporting City Council’s mandates through strong Administrative accountability, integrity and professionalism.

He has a B.A. in Recreation from the University of Lethbridge.

Community Growth Service Area is comprised of the following departments that have influence, impact and/ or support our community’s economic, planning and environmental well-being.

Budget

The entire Service Area has an annual operating budget of approximately $12.6 million and annual capital budget of approximately $4.7 million.
