Step 3: Receive your Permit

As soon as your permit application is approved, you'll receive a call to pick it up or it will be sent to you by email. This takes approximately 7 - 10 business days.

Timeline

The permit will specify how soon you must start work, and by which date (usually, two years) you must complete the work.

Book your Inspection

If your permit requires just one inspection, please call, email or make an inspection request online when the job is done. If your permit specifies two or more inspections, please call us at the indicated times. It is your responsibility to contact us to schedule an inspection.

We will inspect the work, and give you immediate approval if it meets the legal requirements. If the work is defective or does not meet the requirements, we will tell you what corrections have to be done. You should correct the deficiencies and call us again within 30 days to schedule a re-inspection.
