Culture and Heritage operates a variety of City of Grande Prairie Facilities. Click on the location name below or in the left navigation menu.
Opened in 1971, the Grande Prairie Museum focuses on the peoples history of the Grande Prairie region.
A historic Heritage Village features builidings and equipment to provide visitors with a visual representation of what life was life for early settlers. The Village is only accessible through the Grande Prairie Museum during the summer season, May through September (weather permitting).
Located in Centre 2000, Heritage Discovery Centre takes visitors through the natural history of the Peace Region.
The newest addition to the ourMontrose site is an active pedestrican link and plaza space suitable for community events and outdoor programming.
Home to the Art Gallery or Grande Prairie and the Grande Prairie Public Library, the Montrose Cultural Centre is a vibrant, cultural hub in downtown Grande Prairie.
The Rev. Forbes Homestead is Grande Prairie's oldest log structure and the adjoining Pioneer Hospital served as Grande Prairie's first hospital. This provincially recognized historic resources is open during the summer season.
