The City is proud to celebrate Family Day with events over the weekend of Feb. 16 to 18. Residents are invited to several events across a variety of dates, times and venues so every family has the opportunity to come together for a weekend of fun.

Saturday, February 16

Sun Life Financial Free Family Day Weekend Skate
Join us for a public skate at the Dave Barr Community Centre. Remember to bring your skates and helmet for an afternoon of free fun. Approved safety helmets are required for all skaters under the age of 18. Helmets are recommended for adult skaters. Skates are required in order to go on ice.

1:30 - 2:45 p.m.

Sunday, February 17

Sun Life Financial Free Family Day Weekend Skate

You are invited to join us for a Free Sun Life Financial Public Skate at the Coca-Cola Centre. Grab your skates and helmet and come join us for an afternoon of free fun.

2:30 - 4:15 p.m.
Where: Coca-Cola Centre
Cost: Free

Sun Life Financial Free Family Day Weekend Swim
Bring the whole family and make a splash on Sunday, Feb. 17th at the Eastlink Centre with free admission to the aquatics area from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. courtesy of Sun Life Financial.

10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Swim times will be in 2 hour time slots starting at 10 a.m. Colour coded wristbands will be issued for each time slot.

New Horizon Co-op Free Family Weekend Day
Visit the Eastlink Centre on Sunday, Feb. 17th for a day filled with free family fun for everyone including a free BBQ, compliments of New Horizon Co-op. Lunch includes a hot dog or hamburger and a drink. Plus Free Family Day Fieldhouse Activities.

Noon – 4 p.m.

Monday, February 18

New Horizon Co-op Free Family Fun Day

Visit Revolution Place for an afternoon of activity. Children may enjoy bouncy castles, a photo booth, face painting and a variety of games and activities to keep them busy and having fun.

1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Bowes Event Centre at Revolution Place
Cost: Free

New Horizon Co-op Family Day Skate with the Grande Prairie Storm

Skate with the Grande Prairie Storm right after the game! The Grande Prairie Storm are playing the Drayton Valley Thunder, puck drops at 2:00 p.m. Regular admission rates apply to view the game.

: Immediately following the Storm game, approximately 5 p.m.
Where: Revolution Place Arena
Cost: Free

Winterlude - Family Fun Day

Sleigh rides, skating on the pond, snow painting, snowshoeing, face painting, family activities, local performers, hula hoop workshop and old fashioned carnival games.

When: Noon – 4 p.m.
Where: Ernie Radbourne Pavilion & Grande Prairie Museum in Muskoseepi Park

Neighbourhood Winter Blast

Winter Blast is a free event series where residents may meet their neighbours and take part in fun activities such as: ice-skating, tobogganing, snowman contests, hot chocolate and more.

Winter Blast is taking place in many neighbourhoods across the city from February 16-18 and 24:
