Early November Completion Anticipated for Downtown Construction
The construction of Phases 1 and 2 of the Downtown Rehabilitation Project is currently on track to be completed by early November, weather dependent. The contractor has indicated the remaining work includes completing the installation of paving stones, street furniture, street lights and planter beds. Additionally, final paving on roadways remains within the project limits.

2017 Lantern Tours at the Grande Prairie Museum are cancelled. Programming and Events Coordinators with the City of Grande Prairie’s Culture and Heritage Department cite a lack of response by the public for volunteer opportunities with the event, have led to the cancellation.
