Hughes Lake Area Structure Plan Open House
On January 1, 2016, the City annexed 97 quarter-sections of land from the County of Grande Prairie. One of the purposes of annexing this land base was for the City to be able to attract more industrial and commercial development to help build a strong, viable tax base.

Residential Snow Clearing Continues On Smaller Scale
Due to minimal snow fall, Transportation crews are performing scaled back residential snow plowing. The main roads are essentially clean of snow and crews are conducting road patrols and sanding icy patches and intersections.
