2017 Downtown Rehabilitation Project Info Session

A public information session is being held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 for Phase 1 and 2 construction on the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project.

Time:                     5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (drop-in basis)

Location:               Teresa Sargent Hall, inside Montrose Cultural Centre (9839 103 Ave.)

All members of the public are invited and downtown business owners are strongly encouraged to attend. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the project and ask questions of the project team.

Topics to be discussed:

  • Construction schedule and staging
  • Details of construction work
  • Potential traffic items
  • Business access
  • Communications

Phase 1 construction is scheduled to recommence in early May on 101 St. north of 100 Ave. and proceeds northwards. Phase 2 work along 101 Ave. is also scheduled for this year.

Representatives from the City, the consultant (ISL Engineering) and the contractor (Wapiti Gravel Suppliers) are all anticipated to be in attendance to help answer questions and provide specific information.

The Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project is a multi-phase initiative designed to create a modern, revitalized downtown through underground infrastructure upgrades and streetscape improvements. For more information visit cityofgp.com/ourdowntown.
