Crews Working on Gravel Road Conditions
Posted Date: 4/19/2017

City Crews are working on grading gravel roads throughout the city as recent mild weather followed by a weekend of snow are resulting in less than ideal conditions.

“The frost coming out of the road coupled by melting snow have saturated most of our gravel roads” says Robert Carroll, Transportation Manager for the City. “We have our grader out trying their best to keep the roads safe and passable. Repairs can be very difficult in these conditions and we need the roads to dry out in order for permanent repairs to happen.”

Drivers are warned to use extreme care when travelling on gravel roads as soft and rutted areas can arise quickly and cause control issues.

Road Bans

Truckers are reminded that spring road bans remain in effect at 50%.
