Former Fire Hall Available for Sale

Community Social DevelopmentThe City of Grande Prairie is requesting proposals from qualified candidates for the sale and redevelopment of the former fire hall in downtown Grande Prairie.

Request For Proposals

This prime real estate is located on the corner of 101 St. and 102 Ave. in downtown Grande Prairie. The building was constructed in 1969 and is comprised of an 8,000 sq. ft office space with two storeys and an eight bay, 7,000 sq. ft shop space.

Proposals will be evaluated based on price, economic impact, activity generation, environmental impact and experience. Additional points will be awarded for the presence of a retail store or restaurant that generate activity in the neighbourhood beyond Monday to Friday, 9 to 6 business hours.

Proposals will be accepted until September 8, 2017.

Current Tenants

The building is currently home to the Community Social Development (CSD) and Parks Operations departments along with the Grande Prairie Technical Search and Rescue Group (TSR) and the RCMP. CSD and Parks Operations would be relocated to other city owned buildings while TSR is currently looking to relocate, unrelated to the sale of the building.
