Posted Date: 9/13/2017
On September 18, the Outfall Repair and Replacement Program begins just west of Maskwôtêh Park.

Maskwôtêh Park is located west of 108 Street and 116 Avenue. The City intends to repair the outfall located west of Maskwôtêh Park, depicted in the photo below. An outfall is an area where a body of water empties into the sea, river or lake.

During construction, the trails in the area will be impacted. All trail closures are to be clearly signed.

The playground located at Maskwôtêh Park remains open during construction.

Crews plan to remove the current outfall structure and replace it with an improved and updated structure. Before construction begins, reservoir levels will be lowered in anticipation for this construction.

Prior to the start of this project, an environmental assessment was completed and no wildlife will be harmed.
