The City of Grande Prairie, along with Jay Hoots and NAK Design Strategies, is hosting a public engagement session on the upcoming progressive bike skills park in South Bear Creek.
The session takes place on Tuesday, May 8 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Teresa Sargent Hall in the Montrose Cultural Centre (9839 103 Avenue).
A preliminary concept design of the bike park will be presented for residents to review. The public and cycling community will have an opportunity to view the presentation, provide feedback and ask questions.
About the Park
Bike skills parks provide a designated area for cyclists of all levels and experience to develop their individual expertise and skills in mountain biking. They contain a variety of progressive technical features that build a rider’s skill level and competencies. As a rider’s skills and confidence increase, so do the challenges and features within the park. The SBC Bike Skills Park will be a place that the entire family can spend time building those skills and exercising together.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2018.
