Seniors Invited for Tea June 7

The County of Grande Prairie Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) and the City of Grande Prairie Community Social Development (CSD), along with community partners are inviting local seniors for tea in honour of Seniors’ Week.

Seniors from the County, City and neighbouring communities are invited to attend this free event, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m at the Entrec Centre at Evergreen Park.

“Seniors play such an important role in our lives. We all benefit from their experience and knowledge,” said Coree Ladwig, County Senior and Adult Programs Team Lead. “The Senior’s Tea is our way of thanking local seniors for their valuable contributions to our past, present and future.”

“Seniors make a huge difference in our community and in our region as friends, family members and volunteers so we are thrilled to celebrate and show appreciation for them during Seniors Week,” said Brenda Adams, City Community Development Supervisor. Seniors Tea 2018

“The Seniors Tea is an inviting opportunity for seniors in our region to enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and socializing. This is always the most popular event of Seniors Week, and we are excited to welcome all attendees again this year.”

The free, fun-filled afternoon includes light refreshments, snacks, entertainment, and door prize draws.
Seniors are encouraged to register to reserve their spot to attend. The deadline to register is Wednesday, May 30.

The event is sponsored by the County of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Wembley and Hythe FCSS, the City of Grande Prairie Community Social Development and Seniors Outreach.
