Road Rehabilitation Work Begins in Crystal Landing and Cobblestone Next Week
As part of the 2018 Road Rehabilitation Program, Knelsen Sand & Gravel Ltd. will begin working in the Crystal Landing area beginning Monday June 4 and in the Cobblestone area beginning Thursday, June 7.

Residents can expect to see crews working on:

  • Landing Drive/88 Street from 100 Avenue to 104 Avenue 
  • 90 Street from 95 Avenue to 100 Avenue
  • 96 Avenue from 90 Street to 92 Street 
Traffic delays can be expected as roads will be reduced to one lane and the speed limit will be down to 30km/h. Motorist are advised to use alternate routes whenever possible. Please remember to drive with caution around work crews.

The road rehabilitation work consists of milling the existing road surface and placing a new pavement surface, line markings, spot replacements of concrete curb and sidewalks, minor storm sewer repairs, and landscaping.

Sidewalk Construction Begins in Crystal Ridge

Proform Concrete Services Inc. is scheduled to begin work on the 2018 Sidewalk Program in the Crystal Ridge area on Monday, June 4.

The 2018 Sidewalk Program is a large project that contains various locations throughout Grande Prairie. Although several neighbourhoods can expect to see crews installing new sidewalks this summer, the first 12 sites are located within Crystal Ridge.

Construction activities include replacing and upgrading a significant portion of concrete sidewalks; catch basin and manhole repairs or replacements may also be necessary.

The 2018 Sidewalk Program is expected to run until the end of September.

Work Begins on the Richmond Industrial Storm Ponds

Starting Monday, June 4, Green Acre Ventures will be setting up fences and bringing equipment and materials to site to prepare for the construction of the Richmond Industrial Storm Ponds.

Work is scheduled to begin shortly after.This project is to alleviate flooding that may occur during major storm events in the industrial area.

111A Street and 89 Avenue will have some minor construction traffic, but will remain fully open until work begins.
