Art Gallery of Grande Prairie Smudging Update
Posted Date: 6/10/2018 2:30 PM
Please be advised that Smudging ceremonies will continue at the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie located in the Montrose Cultural Centre until June 18.

Smudging is an Indigenous tradition involving the burning of sage, sweet grass, or cedar chips. Measures are in place to mitigate aroma and smoke within the facility.

This Smudging ceremony is part of a memorial art installation honouring missing and murdered women, girls and two-spirited peoples hosted by the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie.

The exhibit is open to the public until June 14, with the exhibit de-installation completed by June 18.

More information about the memorial art installation can be found at https://aggp.ca.
