On Tuesday, June 26, Transit Route #4 will begin a temporary detour to accommodate construction on the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project.
Heading towards Grande Prairie Regional College after leaving the Town Centre Mall, Route #4 will travel northbound on 99 Street, turn left to go westbound on 101 Avenue, turn right to go northbound on 100 Street, turn left westbound on 102 Avenue, turn left southbound on 102 Street, and turn right to go westbound on 101 Avenue. From there, the detour goes left at the laneway to the west of St. Paul’s United Church and gets rerouted westbound onto 100 Avenue.
Bus stop #400 will be closed during this time.
The detour will be in place for approximately three weeks. It is being implemented due to a temporary intersection closure of 100 Avenue and 102 Street.
The Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project is a multi-phase initiative designed to create a modern, revitalized downtown through infrastructure upgrades and an updated streetscape design.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of transit riders during this time and apologize for any inconvenience.
