Trail Rehabilitation Begins Under the 68 Avenue Bridge
Posted Date: 9/18/2018
On September 20, 2018, Reco Construction will begin removing and replacing a 225 meter stretch of asphalt trail under the 68 Avenue Bridge, as part of the 2018 Trail Rehabilitation Program.

Re-pavingPedestrians are temporarily re-routed to the traffic lights at the Kateri Drive intersection to access the rest of the
Muskoseepi Park trail system as the trail is closed until all work is complete. The project is expected to be complete by the end of September.

The City reminds the public to remain cautious of workers and equipment that may be present in the construction area and to obey all signage and proceed with caution. All construction zones will be signed and barricaded.

Pedestrian pathways and trails are essential for promoting a healthy City and increasing connectivity between neighbourhoods. The Trail Rehabilitation Program presents an opportunity to make functional improvements to the City’s existing trail system. Annually, the City of Grande Prairie repairs specific locations to ensure that the trails are safe for users.
