Help Desk ServicesHands at Laptop

This service is the most widely recognized part of the ITS department. The City has a highly respected helpdesk that is staffed with technicians who are able to work with employees at their desks to resolve problems.

In addition to the daily prioritization and resolution of user issues, this group is responsible for the procurement and management of all desktop hardware and software, VOIP phones, administration of user accounts and the running of a central loaner pool of laptops, projectors, conference phones and various other equipment.

Business Application Services

The employees that form the Business Systems Team provide leadership and expertise in the provision of computer systems for the Municipality. This group assists City departments in continually improving the effectiveness of their business processes through the use of information technology.

The Business Systems Team provides project management services and works with user department throughout the entire project life cycle to ensure the successful implementation of new technologies that meet the ever growing demands of the community, the government, and changing technology.

Network Services

Network Services maintains the connectivity of all municipal technical devices, supplies servers to centrally store and maintain all data and applications, ensures the protection of all data and technology through security software and data backups, and is working towards new means of transferring information through radio and wireless technology. This area is responsible for the communications infrastructure allowing employees to communicate with each other, the public, businesses, and other government agencies.
