Outdoor Rink

Throughout the winter months, Parks Operations maintains several large outdoor rinks across Grande Prairie.  The rinks are opened to the public once temperatures are low enough to sustain the ice surface.

Rink Use

Only certain rinks allow hockey; the rest are for skating only.  Rink lights are on until 10pm. Rinks are not for public use after this time.

Parks Operations conducts rink maintenance according to a preset schedule, which can be found here. (PDF, 278KB)  For help with rink lighting or infrastructure concerns, please contact Parks Operations at 780-830-5018 or parks@cityofgp.com.
