We tend to work away from the office a lot and rely on technology to complete our work in a timely fashion. ITS helps us get that work done! We appreciate the support that they provide from suggestions on the best device to how they can rectify our problem.

ITS answers the phone in a very professional manner and provides service with a smile and the patience of a saint! I may have been the 50th person to call that day with the same question but they provide a helpful solution to the question. Ron ITS Image"In 2010, Fleet Services investigated the fleet software programs available “off the shelf” for an upgrade of our old DOS fleet program known as Vehicle Maintenance Management. None of the programs met our needs and the costs were far from affordable. Thanks to the hard and essential work of the City of Grande Prairie's Information Technology Services department we were able to work together to custom build a software program that met our needs at a fraction of the cost of commercially available programs. The system tracks fuel, parts, labour and sub-let costs and includes a preventative maintenance scheduler, data storage for all information including work orders, all pertinent information and history for Fleet units, and information on the units that Fleet repairs for outside agencies.

The software also allows tracking for vehicle and equipment rental collection and capital funding for unit replacements. In addition we have an electronic time punch system to assist in payroll preparation and an invoicing system for outside agencies and other City departments."

"We are moving in hyper-speed in this technological age and with the challenges that arise from building automation and door access control is a day to day normality for the Facility Maintenance Department. Whether it is a desktop computer or mobile devices, ITS follows these trends and adapts quickly to meet these demands. A recent solution, with the help of Joe Radench, allows our Maintenance team to access building maintenance systems from virtually anywhere. ITS provides immediate response and solutions, without affecting the integrity and security of the City’s core data network and interests."
