D. Digital Elevation Model (DEM) Files

General DEM Information
The DEM files are based on a 15 metre grid system. They were derived from the Government of Alberta’s 1:8,000, May 1982 aerotriangulated photography. Control is the ASCM, coordinate system is 100TM modified (NAD83), some changed areas update.

Pen Code Definitions
1 – Start of element (break line)
2 – Join element from starting position (break line continued)
3 – Join element from starting position (break line continued)
4 – End of element (break line)
5 – Discrete point

Accuracy of DEM’s
The Accuracy of this information is +/- 30-50 centimetres.
