City of Grande Prairie Fireworks Cancelled for December 31

Due to extreme cold weather conditions, the City of Grande Prairie fireworks display and sleigh rides have been cancelled for Sunday, December 31, 2017. Indoor activities at Muskoseepi Park are continuing as planned.
City Administration will re-evaluate temperature and wind conditions on Monday to determine whether the fireworks display can be re-scheduled for 7pm on January 1. With the expected warming temperatures, higher winds are also anticipated. Federal regulations require wind speeds below 40km/h to proceed.
Residents can receive the latest information on the Muskoseepi Park Facebook page or the City of Grande Prairie website and Facebook pages.
