Please Note: Activities in Muskoseepi Park start 1 hour prior to those at the Grande Prairie Museum.. 



Nominal costs apply for food services. 


Family and friends of all ages. Please leave pets at home.

What to Expect 

On Monday, August 6, Muskoseepi Park hosts free family-friendly activities to celebrate Heritage Day.

Muskoseepi Park

A variety of cultural music and dance performances by local and regional artists take the stage of the Muskoseepi Park amphitheatre. Entertainment includes:

  • Moon Dance Shimmy
  • the East Indian Cultural
  • Sarvgun
  • Halo Tribal
  • Booming Tree Taiko Drumming
  • and more!

Guests are invited to browse multicultural displays and enjoy local food vendors in the park before crossing the bridge over to the Grande Prairie Museum.

Grande Prairie Museum & Heritage Village

The Grande Prairie Museum comes to life and takes visitors back in time by celebrating our Canadian heritage and cultural diversity. Activities include:

  • Old fashioned games of skill and chance
  • Storytellers
  • Interpreters
  • Traditional trades and crafts demonstrations
  • Down to Earth Farms Petting Zoo
  • Old Fashioned Kettle Corn 
  • Cultural Kermesse


Parking is limited in Muskoseepi Park during Heritage Day. Parking is available in designated street areas or in public parking lots within the downtown core.
