Sealed tenders addressed to the City of Grande Prairie will be received at the office of the Procurement Department up to 2:00:00 P.M., (local time), Tuesday, March 6, 2018 for the:


The project includes, but is not limited to, the following work:

  • Removal of existing infrastructure including but not limited to: sanitary, water and storm infrastructure, roadways, sidewalks, curb and gutter, earth materials, street lights, and street furniture.
  • Installation of deep utilities including water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer.
  • Installation of water and sanitary services and service connections to vacant lots and existing buildings.
  • Excavation and grading of the roadway cross-section.
  • Concrete works including headers, curb and gutter, sidewalk, stair structures, ramps, seat walls, curb ramps, and roadways, sidewalks base and building entrances. Supply and placement of pavers on a concrete base.
  • Construction of asphalt pavement structure.
  • Installation of structural soil cells including perforated storm drainage piping system.
  • Tree and perennial planting, including topsoil supply and placement.
  • Fabrication and installation of custom precast concrete and metal street furnishings including benches, litter and recycling receptacles, tree grates, bollards and bike racks.
  • Installation of an irrigation system and connections to an existing irrigation system.
  • Installation of drainage infrastructure including catch basins, catch basin leads, perforated sub drain pipe and catch basin/manhole frame and covers.
  • Installation of secondary electrical and conduit runs for illumination facilities (ATCO Electric street lights), electrical cable, empty fibre conduit, spare electrical conduit and other associated infrastructure and electrical facilities.
  • Coordination of any and all utility relocations.
  • Coordination and scheduling of the Work.
  • Temporary vehicular and pedestrian traffic control.

Tender proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. Submissions can be hand delivered or couriered. The submission must be marked clearly on the outside with the Tender name and number.

Each tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque payable to the City of Grande Prairie or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the tender price. Also to ensure consideration of the tender, each tender must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety, WCB, and a copy of a valid COR as issued by ACSA, and proof of insurance as required by the Contract Documents.

The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.
